The various itineraries listed on this site will give you an idea about the options available to you. Better still, tell us about your special interests and expectations and we'll offer you the tailor-made safari of your dreams. You can chose to leave the driving and the route up to us, or elect one of our self-drive options - either way you can rely on our knowledge and professional guidance to fulfill your personal requirements, whether it's sleeping under a star-canopy in the desert, or being pampered at a five star luxury game lodge.

A close encounter with an endangered black rhino, a desert elephant or a majestic lion is on every Safari-goers' wish list, but don't underestimate the equally magnificent world of birds, insects and other forms of life that have adapted over centuries to this unique environment. The long distances are covered in comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles (mostly VW Microbuses). Four-wheel drive vehicles are available for more remote "off-the-beaten-track" destinations. Alternatively, try one of our Tours on the Wing for a birds' eye view of some of the most scenic and spectcular sights the planet has to offer. Active, adventure-filled days are followed by relaxed, comfortable nights at lodges, guest farms or rest camps where you will be welcomed with legendary Namibian hospitality. We support establishments run on sound ecological principles. The safety of our guests and respect for the environment are of paramount importance to us.

"I was born in Nambia, and grew up on a farm in the far south of the country, miles from anywhere on the edge of the Namib desert. From an early age I was aware of the beauty and power of this land and a career as a tour guide was inevitable. I've even turned one of the homesteads on our family farm into a guest house for the ultimate African-farm experience.

My speciality is birding, photographic and natural history safaris but whether you've come just for the sunsets or the luxury of wide open, uninhabited spaces, Namibia has something for you - from the chilly Atlantic, to the red dunes of Sossusvlei and the beautiful Makalani palms on the Kunene River.

Nomtsas Safaris is registered with the Namibian Tourism Board which sets pre-scribed standards for tour operators in Namibia.
Albert Voigts von Schütz and all Guides used by Nomtsas Safaris are fully qualified and hold a Bagde II certification of the Namibian Academy for Tourism and Hospitality (NATH)


The VW is doing well on Namibias gravel roads. The vehicle is very comfortable and in permanent 4x4. The ideal group size would be 2-6 Passengers.	Toyota has proven to give the best results driving off-road and long distances. I had two Cruisers custom made to suit your needs on a safari.	The Cruisers can take up to 9 Passengers with 7 big-window seats. The wide windows and pop-up roof make for absolutely great viewing of game and birds.
